FIXED LENS LOUPES

We are able to offer fixed lens loupes through the generosity of Designs For Vision, Inc. Because these loupes are specifically designed to an individual’s optical measurements, they require specialized measurement and fitting once made. Accordingly, we can only offer these to surgeons who travel to North America for a conference, or training, or some other reason. Surgeons being fitted for these loupes need to have a copy of their eyeglass prescription if they normally wear glasses.

ADJUSTABLE LENS LOUPES

We provide high quality adjustable lens loupes in a variety of magnifications. These loupes can be adjusted by each wearer, and thus are particularly suitable for teaching programs. There are different sizes and working distances available; our goal is to provide loupes that can potentially be used by the greatest number of surgeons.

LOUPES DELIVERY

Most of our loupes are delivered personally by people traveling from the USA to the recipient’s area. These people might be friends, family, or other physicians traveling on a volunteer mission. This system insures the safe and secure delivery of loupes to the intended recipient while avoiding the cost and potential bureaucratic hassle of delivery through a commercial delivery service such as UPS. If we cannot find someone to bring loupes to the recipient, then we may decide to deliver them through a commercial service.

RECOUP THE LOUPES

We are able to recycle old loupes no longer being used by surgeons in North America. With Designs For Vision loupes, the magnifier lenses (if in good condition) can be removed form the old loupes and placed into new lenses and frames. Other loupes can also be recycled in a variety of ways. Surgeons who donate old loupes are allowed to claim the donation as a charitable contribution since we are recognized as a 501(c)3 organization by the IRS.

SURGICAL HEADLIGHTS

We have had a number of requests for surgical headlights; we are actively searching to find a headlight which is durable, functional, and a reasonable cost.
